Why the table comes first

Tool listings usually bury the one figure you need. You want to know whether a ratchet will shift a 45 ft-lb bolt, or whether a grinder takes a 115 mm disc, and instead you get three paragraphs about professional-grade quality.

So every product here opens with a table. The prose is underneath, and it is there to explain what the number means rather than to sell past it.

What gets stocked

The test is whether a tool does a job a home workshop actually has, and does it without needing a second tool to finish. That is a narrow test, and it is why the shelf is short.

Where a specification appears on this site it comes from the manufacturer. Where we do not have a figure, none is printed – which is why some tables are shorter than others.
