Is 45 ft-lbs enough?

For most fasteners on a car – wheel nuts excepted – and for the great majority of home and workshop bolts, yes. A seized suspension bolt or a wheel nut torqued to specification is beyond it; that is a breaker bar or an impact wrench job. The ratchet is for speed on fasteners you could already move, not for the ones you cannot.

Why 115 mm and not 125 mm?

115 mm is lighter, easier to control one-handed and takes the most widely stocked discs. A 125 mm cuts a little deeper. For a home workshop the smaller one is almost always the better tool.

Is a 300 A welder overkill?

The rating is the maximum, not the setting. Most home jobs run at a fraction of it, and the headroom means the machine is not working at its limit while you do them.

What can I weld with it?

It is an ARC/MMA stick welder, so mild steel with a coated electrode. Not aluminium, and not thin sheet without practice.

Batteries and power

Do the batteries swap between tools?

No. The ratchet wrench is 12 V and the grinder is 20 V, and the manufacturers do not state cross-compatibility. Treat each tool as coming with its own.

How long does a charge last?

Where the manufacturer gives a figure it is on the product: the ratchet’s batteries are quoted at about an hour each, charging in about two. No figure is quoted for the grinder, so none is printed.
